The Curses of the Blessings & Directions to the Next Fair

What an amazing two weeks. Amazing in the best and the worst ways. Time was running incredibly short for contract fees to be paid over which would allow me to do something that I’ve been dreaming of for years: official restaurant reviews.

The weekend finally arrived and that meant logging off one side of my life and logging in to the next!
If you missed me rambling around twitter, facebook and my Vuya Blog last weekend, that would be because the South Coast had over 100,000 visitors and over 20,000 motorbikes for Africa bike Week, and absolutely HUGE event sponsored by Harley Davidson that involves, live music, street markets, entertainment, exhibits and plenty (and I mean PLENTY) Motorbikes.
Honor The Living not Just the Dead

Two weeks to Samhain. The end of summer and the beginning of Autumn. Its round about this time of year that I hear Pagans go on and on about "honoring the ancestors" faining intellectuality and presenting themselves as the few who understand the darkness that comes with the Sabbat of Samhain.
Yet I see these same Pagans bemoaning their moms and dads, brothers and sisters and other close family's lack of understanding of their Pagan paths, their inability to accept their choice of Pagan spirituality.
Vuya Pagan things I got up to all day.
Flavour of the day: Orange Minty Footprint
Well this week has so far been quite an interesting one; on the mundane side, I'm busy waiting for "The Big Cheeses" to respond with information and "next step" authorisations which has left me to twi
Two days of Nothing
Crazy couple of days hey? Don't you all just love it when I have to dash away on First Aid work?
The Day the World Stood and Burped in My Face
Wow what a day; woke up this morning nice and early in order to start collecting the day's news articles only to find that our service provider had once again dropped her tower on her head or lost the connecty-bit or whatever and we were without internet until almost 10am! So there we go, nice slow day to start with; really NOT what I had in mind for a good start to the week.
Too early is never too late
You know I've actually been writing a blog on another site for some time now; I liked the anonymity of it, the fact that I wasn't judged for being "Arias: The Opinionated Ghoul";
but after the site in question failed to load for a few days straight, I started thinking that maybe it was time to post my silly notions on my own site; ok be prepared though, because I blog about EVERYTHING, not just Paganism, but every thing I think is worth typing a sentence about, and pretty much is a silly recap of my hermit life :)

Winter Woolies
Midwinter is approaching and even here on the sunny south coast we can feel the chill in the air; its nothing like cape Town where you freeze your patoody off whenthe snow covers the helderberg, but when you spend practically every day of the year in shorts and t-shirts, a drop in temp suddenly becomes quite recognizable.
To become...
When the world gets too full of distractions and mind-numbing white-noise, a person needs the freedom to retreat and collect the fragments of the soul again, repair the armour and remember, remember why we interact in the first place, why we put up with a multitude of human creatures at our doorstep every day so that we can rejoin the frey once more, ready for the challenges that are presented to us, and give every moment our fullest attention.
