Being a Pagan in the Real World

Flavour of the day: Orange Minty Footprint

Well this week has so far been quite an interesting one; on the mundane side, I'm busy waiting for "The Big Cheeses" to respond with information and "next step" authorisations which has left me to twiddle my thumbs and wonder how the heck they get paid so much to do so little.

Anyway, instead of sitting on my hands a friend brought some interesting points to my attention regarding the google ranking of the Vuya.net website; since we get huge numbers of hits every day, it was surprising that our ranking wasn't higher; so the Expert gave me a few tips and we started making changes to the meta tags, sitemaps and the analytics; we also made space for some Google Ads and some other affiliate offer websites to help Vuya.net earn its keep online - remember that I run the entire site out of my own pocket and the thought of improving the site's revenue stream was definately a welcome addition!

We're probably going to make the same changes to the Pagan Business Network site as well.

Then there's my new found interest in a series of books I stumbled upon recently called the "Ringing Cedars Series". I was actually responding to a FB invitation to a circle event called Space of Love (to be held at Delta Park in Gauteng this month). Since the event ivitation itself didn't have contact details or much other info, I clicked the host's information (ringingcedars.co.za) and found this fascinating series.

Obviously my impulse is to share what I've found, so I've selected three of the most interesting of the series to promote here on Vuya.net. You will see them on the front page in the Loot block on the upper right bar.

The first book of the series is Anastasia book one since you kindda gotta start with the beginning of the story before you start jumping around the place hey? Well Anastasia is the story of the author's travels to Siberia in 1995 where he experiences a spiritual phenomena of the ringing cedar trees of the area. He ends up spending a few days with a woman named ...(dah) Anastasia, who shares her thoughts and insights on all sorts of topics (gardening, child-rearing, healing, Nature, sexuality, religion and more) with him. Her ideas are so revolutionary to him that he gives up his job to write the books.

Ok it doesn't sound like a mind blower just yet, but you gotta read more...

"The Book of Kin" is the sixth book of the Series, describes another visit to Anastasia's glade in the Siberian taiga. This time the conversations revolve around a new approach to education, science, history, family and nature. Anastasia reveals the "real history" of humanity that was distorted and kept secret for thousands of years. She shares her thoughts on the reasons why wars were started, the reasons for the existance of opression and violence in the modern world and offers her guidence to preserve the WISDOM OF OUR ANCESTORS allowing us to pass it on to future generations.

NOW you can see why my interest was sparked by THIS book! yeah baby!

The third book I decided to promote on Vuya.net is "Who Are We" which is the fifth book of the ringing Cedars Series where our friend Vlad goes in search of "real-life proof" of Anastasia's visions. Armed with enough proof to satisfy his mind, Megre records practical steps for putting the principles into practice. The dream of living in co-operation with the Earth and each other, "Who Are We" also highlights the role that children will play in helping us become aware of the nature of the situation we currently find ourselves in as well as their role as leaders in the journey toward a peaceful society. Kewl yeah?

Anyway, I've found one or two little tasks to get me through the day, so I'll be "blogging-off" for now. Remember to post your comments on the news stubs by creating an account on this site.
