Vuya Pagan things I got up to all day.
While trawling the news nets for fresh Pagan News for y'all, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself face to face with a BEAUTIFUL picture of Selena Fox at the top of the article Paganism, Just Another Religion for Military and Academia so no doubt decided to include it in the Vuya Pagan News feed even though the article was from about a week ago - let it not be said that we discriminate against the older news articles! ha.
I could barely contain a victorious grunt of barbaric victory when I saw the news that our Heathen friend Holoran won the election today - I was so impressed I decided to even include a picture of him in our news stub!
Then there was the article Google is prejudiced against witches which I have to say was a bit ja, well no fine. There are meanies in every work environment, and I'm glad that steps were taken to fix the problem, but really, calling it a "Google" problem was a bit much. The more I work with journo's and news articles, the more I see this trend (or main stay really) of sensationalist headlines - I gotta tell you that even from the stand point of the Vuya News and Vuya Network system, the traffic only starts flying in when a sensational headline appears like "Sadist Wiccan rips head off Defensless Vegetable".
Anyway with all the fabulous news articles flying around there were also some new Pagan Events for South Africa added; from our friends at the Mystical Cat, some new workshops - the latest of which their Beginner's Crystal Course. Thank you to all you Vuya fans there who have been supporting their efforts! Feel free to post your photo's of the events so we can help drum up more support for them and other events.
With all the talk of increasing expenses, and the lack of premium members on the site, I've decided to take a friend's advice and add a few more affiliate links to the Vuya.net website. Now I know you may be thinking that its all a bit "bordelo" now, what with the flashing bling bling and the jiggling ring ring etc, but I'll tell you this much, at least when you kind folk see something you like and decide a click here and there, our poor old Vuya fogies will be able to scrape together a few pennies to keep the site up and running without actually asking you for money.
So I've selected a few nice links that I though you friendly Pagan folk would be likely to find interesting and/or useful:
Leisure Books which we all know is a worthwhile book club to belong to.
Digital Planet for those of you interested in a new laptop, camera, or latest Digital whatever.
Bid or Buy our very own SA-style eBay where you can buy just about anything - EVEN pagan stuff!!!
Myskills for those of you who'd like to do some online courses in business or IT and last but not least for the mommies and daddies of Vuya, Disney Book Club where you can buy hordes of Disney books for your widdies!
Well that's all for me tonight, I'm going to go play Farmville, then CafeWorld, Yoville and maybe even capture an island or two on Pirates! You all have a fabulous evening and I'll check you on the morrow!
