Pathways will be going through a major change, mostly due to financial reasons. Because it costs so much to print these periodicals via PoD, it is not viable to put them in print at this time. As Pathways grows in popularity, then this option will be revisted, but to do this I would need to put about 10,000 copies through a litho printer...not possible right now. Also, because colour pages cost about 10 times more than black and white pages, I have had to keep the visual impact to a minimum in order to keep it within the R75 retail price.

So, what is going to happen? Pathways will become an eZine. The benefits of this are quite simple and clear. The price will drop to R18 per copy (quite drastic I know, but also quite possible because it does not need to be printed), and it will also contain more colour (again, no need for expensive printing of colour pages). Also, as more articles are submitted, it may be considered to move from a quarterly to a bi-monthly to a monthly mag, so we will see where it will take us.

The other change that will be taking place is that Pathways is going international. There just don't seem to be enough South African Pagan or Occult writers and artists to fill up the pages. So, it is open to the World. If you have any past, present or future artworks, poems or articles that you would like to submit, then please send them to me. And don't let it stop with one, there are future issues and so keep them flowing. At present I am not charging for advertising in Pathways, only asking for a link back to the eZine, so if you also have an advert of a Pagan or Occult nature, let me know, we'll get it in there.

And please, please, please, tell everyone you know. Tell your friends, your family, your neighbour, the boss and his wife. Tell the dogs and the cats (just don't tell the fish, water and electronic formats don't go well together).

So, watch the Pan's Gate and Red Path Publications sites for these changes. They will be effective immediately and the past issues will also be availble for R18 (with the exception of Issue 1 which is FREEEEEE). Of course I will need to make all the swap overs, so it may take a day or two.
